I can’t wipe the smile off my dial.

There is extraordinary beauty in this world, and I have been reminded of it more than ever over the past six months. The kindness and generosity that has been thrust in my family’s direction as we navigate the challenges of my Breast Cancer diagnosis has left me feeling more loved than ever before and so, so grateful.

But let me just say that things cranked up a notch last week!

I got a phone call from some women I went to school with many moons ago. Unbeknownst to me, these INCREDIBLE women have been busily planning something utterly AH-MAZING. So amazing that I have to pinch myself to believe it, and upon putting the phone down after our conversation, I promptly burst into floods and floods of great big fat happy tears.

I am stunned by the size of their hearts and the size of their vision!

Not ONLY have these wonderful people (Kerry, Bec, Sally, Nat and my sister Leah) given me my own HASHTAG, they have begun organising a fundraising gala of seriously EPIC proportions, to raise money for a charity that focuses its efforts on improving research into breast cancer: the National Breast Cancer Foundation!

My heart is absolutely bursting with joy and anticipation, you guys…I’ll be dancing in the chemo ward tomorrow and every day after because you’ve completely blown me away! I feel a little bit like doing THIS right now…

It feels like an eternity ago that we were all traipsing across to the Town Hall in our brown and gold for assembly, lining up at the tuck shop for cinnamon donuts and chocolate milk, spraying endless mists of Impulse before Prac Dancing or wandering down Noel Street to the train station each afternoon, but you’ve shown how strong the bonds of sisterhood are. I am so proud to know you, and so bloody grateful for everything you are doing.
